Alan Kaufman, 75, of Canton, OH, passed away peacefully, Friday, June 10th, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center.
Alan was born in New York City, NY on April 9, 1941, a son of the late Charles and Diane (Greenspan) Kaufman.
He attended The Star of the East Canton, where he was very active in the congregation.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He previously worked as a security guard at Burns International for 10 years.
Alan is survived by his wife, Hannah (Bergen) Kaufman; two daughters, Robin Kashdan, of Louisville; Jamie (Rev. Matt) Faircloth, of Kemp,TX; three sons Randy (Terri) Kashdan, of Houston, TX; Eric Kashdan, of East Canton; Steven (Monique) Kaufman, of Houston, TX; 15 grandchildren 18 great-grandchildren, three brothers, Gary Kaufman, Michael Kaufman, and Bruce Kaufman.
Funeral Services will be held at the Bartley Funeral Home, 205 W. Lincoln Way, Minerva, Ohio at 8:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 14, 2016 with Rabbi A. J. Kershner officiating. Burial will be Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
Instead of floral displays, friends are invited to send fruit baskets or plant a tree in Israel.
