Obituary
Alan Douglas Swinehart, 61, of Canton, passed away, Tuesday, August 27th, 2013 at the Laurels Of Canton.
Alan was born in Akron, Ohio on August 14, 1952, a son of Mildred (Sellers) Swinehart, of Epworth, GA and the late Robert Swinehart.
He was a self-employed carpenter.
Alan is survived by his wife, Terri (King) Swinehart; a daughter, Traci, wife of Mike Asher, of East Sparta; a son, Jarod (Kala) Swinehart, of Massillon; grandchildren Victoria Johnston of Canton, Lilie Swinehart of Massillon, C. J. Asher of East Sparta; a sister, Melanie Swinehart, of TN; a brother, Earl Swinehart, of TN.
He is preceded in death by his father Robert Swinehart, grandchildren Rebecca Yates, Dale Alan Yates, and Izik Asher
Funeral Services will be held at St. Martin Lutheran Church, Malvern, at Noon on Saturday, August 31st, 2013 with Rev. A. Wallace Anderson officiating. Calling hours will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. - noon at St. Martin Lutheran Church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family to help defray funeral expenses.
