Alverta Verona Roach, age 83, of Cape Coral Florida, passed away at Centreville Village on Sunday, August 11, 2019. Alverta was born in Minneapolis, North Carolina on March 22, 1936 to Earnest and Ruth (Grindstaff) Cole.

Alverta lived in Florida for many years. While in Ohio, she was a member of the Carrollton Baptist Temple. She worked at TRW in the waxroom. While in Florida, she was an employee and co-owner of the SW Truck Caps.

Alverta is survived by a daughter Lorrie (Scott) Reaves of La Folette TN; a sister, Athnee Pearson of Waynesburg; a brother Melvin Cole of Leesburg FL; 4 grandchildren: Celina Rodriguez of Cape Coral FL, Elizabeth (Brett) Andringa of St Petersburg FL, Michael (Sara) Kay of Springfield MO and Garrett (Paulette) Reaves of Fort Huachica AZ; and 10 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Alverta was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Roach, a daughter, Denise Kay, and a brother, Marlin Cole.

Funeral service will be held at Deckman Bartley Funeral Home, 434 West Main Street, Malvern, Ohio, on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at 3:00 PM with David L Powell of Carrollton Baptist Temple officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2019 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Deckman Bartley Funeral Home.
