Barbara Kay Keister

Barbara Kay Keister, age 62, of Minerva, passed away at Minerva Healthcare and Rehabilitation on Monday, September 7, 2026. Barbara was born in Canton, Ohio on December 20, 1963, to Dale Lee and Bonnie Jane (Ramsey) Keister.

Throughout her life, Barbara found great joy in caring for others, which she demonstrated through her work as a babysitter. Her nurturing spirit touched many young lives, and she formed bonds that were cherished by both children and parents alike.

A woman of faith, Barbara was deeply involved in her church community, where she found solace and companionship. Her devotion and kindness left an indelible mark on those who were fortunate enough to know her.

In her leisure time, Barbara enjoyed the challenge and camaraderie of online games, where she connected with friends near and far. This pastime brought her much enjoyment and a sense of connection to the world beyond.

In addition to her parents, Barbara is survived by siblings: Ted Keister of Minerva, Dale Keister II of Minerva, Sally Keister of Minerva, and Cynthia (Clinton) Butts of Canton; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at Bartley Funeral Home, 205 West Lincoln Way, Minerva, Ohio , on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 11:00 with Pastor Tim Gropp officiating. Burial will follow at Augusta Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday. September 9, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Bartley Funeral Home.
