Barbara Emilie Royer, age 70 of Minerva, passed away at her beloved home on Sunday, January 31, 2021 and went to be with her Lord and Savior. Barbara was born in Akron, Ohio on May 25, 1950 to Lowell Newman and Esther Jo (Spinks) O'Dell.

She was a dedicated employee of 25 years at Stark County Board of DD where she worked as a specialist bonding with her clients over the years and nurturing them as her own.  She volunteered her free time at St. Luke's Assisted Living in Minerva, OH.  Barb was an avid doll collector and trader but what she truly enjoyed were the friendships formed over the years.  She really enjoyed gifting her collection to bring joy to others.  Barb was a dedicated member of Faith Fellowship Church of East Rochester where she formed friendships and always put Christ first.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, David Preston Royer; and her three children: Michael Royer (his wife Joan) of Waynesburg OH, Brenda Mullaly (her husband Pat) of Hutto TX, Daniel Royer (his wife Tami) of Summerland, FL.  She is also survived by her 3 beloved grandchildren: Brendan Mullaly of Madison WI, Sean and Colin Mullaly of Hutto TX; and a sister Marti Sowash (her husband John) of Salem OH.

In addition to Barb's parents, Lowell and Jo O'Dell, she is also preceded in death by a brother, David O'Dell.

Funeral services will be held in the Bartley Funeral Home, 205 West Lincoln Way, Minerva, Ohio, on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Lee Iden, officiating. Burial will follow at Heritage Memorial Gardens. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bartley Funeral Home.  All of the current face masks, social distancing, and building occupancy rules will be observed according to the Health Department guidelines.
