Barbara "Babs" Kathryn Weston, age 84 of Minerva, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on Saturday, January 23, 2021. Barbara was born in Canton, Ohio on December 4, 1936 to late Homer Koontz and Gretchen (Reynolds) Dodd.

Barbara graduated from Malvern High School in 1955 where she was the head majorette. She was a homemaker. She also enjoyed dogs and worked as a dog groomer. She loved food and chocolate. She also enjoyed bingo, playing bridge, garage sales, flea markets, and taking vacations to Florida. She was loved by her grandchildren. She will always be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and outspokenness. She also had a strong will, love, and pride for her family.

Barbara is survived by her four daughters: Tammy Carnes of Dellroy, Lorie (Bill) Leidner of Minerva, Holly Barker of Minerva, and Kimberly Rehfus of Magnolia; two sons: Jeff Carnes of Malvern and Eric Carnes of Louisville; 15 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and her husband, Rick Weston.

Memorial service will be held at Deckman Bartley Funeral Home, 434 West Main Street, Malvern, Ohio, on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 1:00 PM with Mr Kevin Crater of the First Christian Church of Malvern officiating. Burial will be on Monday, February 1, 2021 at 11 AM in Bethlehem Cemetery Alliance Road, Malvern Ohio.  All of the current face masks, social distancing, and building occupancy rules will be observed according to the Health Department guidelines.
