Betty Jo Phillips, 85, of Carrollton passed away Monday, April 29th, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center following a brief illness.
Betty was born in Haydenville, OH on July 6, 1927, a daughter of the late Alfred and Leafa (Johnson) Stalder.
She was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, Bellflower Road where she was active in the United Methodist Women.
She worked as a aide at Millers and Mapleview Nursing Homes.
Betty is survived by six daughters, Beth Holderbaum, of Minerva, Sandy McNutt, of Massillon, Leafa Saunier, of Zanesville, Sherrian Arnold, of North Canton, Sue Phillips, of the home, Debby (Jerry) Stover, of Carrollton; three sons Clifford Phillips, of Wilmont, Walter (Linda) Phillips, of Carrollton, Ronnie (Diane) Phillips, of Minerva; thirty grandchildren, thirty-six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Margie Manfull, of Minerva.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Earl W. Phillips, a grandson and two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held in the Bartley Funeral Home, at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 3rd, 2013 with Rev. Mark Thomas officiating. Calling hours will be held Thursday 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 pm. at the Bartley Funeral Home. Burial will be in Heritage Memorial Gardens.
