Obituary
Bettye Jewel Baker, 75, of Shelbyville, IN, formerly of Minerva, passed away, Wednesday, December 25th, 2013 at Hancock Regional Hospital, Greenfield, IN, following a long illness.
Bettye was born in Wayne County, KY on February 18, 1938, a daughter of the late Earl M. and Jewel (Bowlin) Lair.
Bettye is survived by two sons Jeffrey (Virginia) Baker, of Minerva; Perry (Glenda) Baker, of Fairland, IN; grandchildren Jewel Baker of New Franklin, Matthew Baker of California, Christopher Baker of California, Randy Baker of New Franklin; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Nancy Allen, of Fairland, IN.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Franklin D. Baker, and a son Greg Baker.
Funeral Services will be held in the Bartley Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 30th, 2013 with Pastor Kirt Henman officiating. Calling hours will be held Sunday 5 - 7 p.m. in the Bartley Funeral Home. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery.
