Carl "Pap" Lawrence First
Carl "Pap" Lawrence First, 83, of Louisville, passed away Thursday, January 3rd, 2013 at Aultman Compassionate Care Center.
Carl was born in Canton, OH on September 13, 1929, a son of the late Anna (Gill) and Carl First.
He was a foreman on the Pennsylvania Railroad and served in the U.S. Army during WW II and the Korean War.
Carl is survived by four sons James (Patricia) First, of New Franklin; Larry (Denise) First, of Kansas City, MO; Robert (Cindy) First, of Minerva; Rodney First, of Denton, TX; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; special granddaughter Kayelee Lewis; a sister, Rosemary Blythe, of Minerva; a brother, Harvey (Joyce) First, of Canton; special friend Phyllis Lewis of Louisville, step-daughters Teresa (Robert Petry) Lewis of Louisville, Linda Bright of Valley View, TX, Kathy Freeman of Paoli, Indiana, Theresa Ashby of Soda Springs, ID, Sandy Hammer of Crossroads, TX and Sue Throop, Soda Springs, ID and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by a son Carl, a daughter Heidi, step-daughter Mary Maceda, brother Virgil, and sisters Anna Mary Colridge and Betty Ellsworth.
Following cremation a memorial service will be held at a later date.
