Obituary

Carol Pauline Buck, age 80, of Malvern, passed away at Aultman Health Foundation on May 14, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She went to be with the Lord after a long battle with cancer. Carol was born in Canton, Ohio on January 20, 1941 to Clyde and Jessie (McCartney) Wood.

Carol was a member of the Little Country Church. She was a homemaker and caregiver. Carol was an avid reader and loved to read Amish books. She was proud of her children, grandchildren, and especially of her great-grandchildren.

Carol is survived by a daughter, Janice (Mark Olmsted) Buck of Malvern; a son, Alvin (Patty) Buck Jr of Malvern; a granddaughter, Leslie (Bill) Michel of Waynesburg; a grandson, Alvin L Buck III; three great-grandsons: Joshua, Tyler, and Matthew; 2 sisters: Margaret Grindstaff of Carrollton and Claudia Rentz of East Canton; and a brother, Clyde (Janet) Wood of East Liverpool.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Alvin L Buck; three sisters: Shirley Hill, Nadine Carson, and Shelba Nichols; and a step-brother, Richard McCartney.

Graveside service will be held at Bethlehem Cemetery on Wednesday, May 19, 2021, at 12:00 PM with Pastor Ted Knapp of Little Country Church, and Leslie Michel, officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Little Country Church, 7886 Ravenna Avenue SE, Waynesburg OH 44688.
