Carole Ann Sinar, 83, of Malvern, passed away Wednesday, October 21st, 2015 in her home surrounded by family.

Carole was born in Akron, Ohio on April 20, 1932, a daughter of the late Ann Loretta Gilhooly. She was lovingly raised by her aunt Catherine Gilhooly and her aunt Mary Gilhooly-Schmader.

She was a graduate of St. Mary's in Akron and attended University of Akron for two years.

She was the owner of Fleischer Shoes in Canton in the 1980's. She also worked for Firestone Tire and Rubber Company for over twenty years, and was the co-owner, with her husband, in the 1970's of Malvern Pro Hardware

She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church where she a member of the Catholic Women's Club and held positions of President and Treasurer for many year. She and her husband were one of the original members of Lake Mohawk Property Owners Association and built their first cottage in 1964. They became full time residents in 1969 and were very involved in all clubs and activities.

Carole is survived by two daughters, Mary Kay Wickersham, of Malvern, OH and Susan (Carl) Wright, of Malvern; grandchildren Nick (Amanda) Wickersham of San Antonio, TX and Joey Wickersham of Malvern, Josh and Katie Wright of Malvern

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Edward Sinar, in 2002.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Malvern at noon on Friday, October 23rd, 2015 with Celebrant, Fr. Victor Cinson. Calling hours will be held Friday, 11 a. m. - noon at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.
