Donald Ray Bloor

Donald Ray Bloor, age 77, of Salem, Ohio, passed away at Salem Regional Medical Center on December 21, 2023. Donald was born on June 26, 1946, in Salem, Ohio to Robert and Mary Bloor.

Donald was a hardworking individual who dedicated many years as a welder at Eljers and Minerva Welding.

Donald served in the Navy during the Vietnam conflict. He was a proud Vietnam Veteran.

In his free time, Donald had a variety of interests that brought him joy. He loved square dancing and was a member of the Hanoverton Volunteer Fire Department. Donald also enjoyed watching NASCAR races.

Donald will be deeply missed by his surviving family and friends, including two sons: James (Charlene) Bloor of Springfield, MO, and Darrin Bloor of Leetonia; and his two daughters: Dawna Bloor of Salem and Dorothy (Mark) Thompson of Lisbon. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his brothers Kenneth Bloor of Wyoming, Bernard Bloor of Florida, David Bloor of Salem, and Paul Bloor of Texas; and his sister Kathy Smith of Texas.

He was preceded in death by his wife Debra Lynn Bloor; his brothers Robert and Carl; and his sisters: Edna Davidson and Mary Bloor.

Funeral service will be held at Bartley Funeral Home, 205 West Lincoln Way, Minerva, Ohio, on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at 7:00 PM with Father Victor Cinson of St. Gabriel Catholic Church officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
