Edna Janice Flick, age 91 of Minerva, passed away at Arbors at Minerva on Sunday, November 19, 2023. Edna was born in Ravenna, Ohio on May 30, 1932, to Jefferson and Nora (Scott) Creighton. Her family moved to Euclid, Ohio where she graduated Valedictorian from Euclid High School in 1950.

She and her husband, Bob, were married October 6, 1951, and they had 47 wonderful years together before he passed away in 1999.

They moved from the Cleveland area to Minerva when Bob was given an opportunity to be part of the original crew to set up the Kolcast plant (TRW/PCC). Edna was a proud homemaker and loved spending time with her family. She was an avid reader and always had a book in her hand. Edna had many hobbies and loved her flowers, needlework (embroidery), sewing, and the challenge of completing the New York Times crossword puzzle daily. She was a huge fan of the Cleveland Indians/Guardians since she was a little girl and her dad would take her and her sister to the games. It made no difference if they were having a good or bad year, she just enjoyed watching them play.

To cherish her memories are her son, Jack Flick of Minerva; her daughter, Jill Flick of Lakewood; a sister, Evelyn Benner and family of Mantua; her grandchildren: Jenifer Barney, Brandon (Angie) Trussel, and Scott (Leesa) Trussel of Minerva; and her great-grandchildren: Kolton, Skylar, Dakota, and Sierra.

In addition to her parents, Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Flick; and two daughters, Janice and Joanne.

There will be no services.
