Edward Mc Coy Roach, 78, of North Fort Myers, Florida passed away on March 6, 2012.
Born on November 20, 1933 in Carrollton, Ohio, Edward was the eldest son of Edward Pearl and Ardie Evelyn Roach of Malvern,Ohio. He is survived by his wife, Alverta (Cole) Roach, and his younger brother, Earl "Buster" Roach, who resides in Carrollton, Ohio.
A graduate of Malvern High School, Class of 1952, he was a veteran of the United States Army, and served his country during the Korean War. After his military discharge, he settled in Malvern, Ohio with his wife and family.
He was employed by Louis Fury as a mechanic and and Wein United in Canton, Ohio as a machinist. As an RV enthusiast, he established Ed's Camper Sales in Malvern, Ohio. He was a member of the Carrolton Baptist Temple in Carrollton, Ohio.
Upon retirement in 1980, he moved to Florida where he continued his lifelong dream and established Southwest Truck Caps and Accessories, which is located in North Fort Myers, Florida.
He was a member of Cape Coral Baptist Church and later a member of North Shore Church in North Fort Myers, Florida.
His hobbies included fishing, camping, and trips to Canada, as well as time spent with friends and family.
Left to cherish his loving memory are his loving wife, Alverta, and their two daughters, Denise (Douglas) Kay and Lorrie (Scott) Reaves, four grandchildren, Celina Rodriguez, Elizabeth (Brett) Andringa, Michael Kay, Garrett Reaves, and great grandchildren, Quinten, Brayden, Carly, and Daniel.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, March 15, 2012 at the Deckman-Bartley Funeral Home Malvern. Visiting hours to be held on Wednesday, 6 - 9 pm. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery.
