Emma Leota Brown
Emma Leota Brown, age 92 of Minerva, went to be with her Lord, Tuesday, January 23, 2018. Emma was born on November 27, 1925 to James A. and Rosa May (Ramsey) Saling.
Emma is survived by daughters, Charlotte (Ralph) Russell, and Barbara (Eric) Burchett, of Minerva, Joyce (David) Clark, of Louisville, KY; son, Larry (Lillie) Brown, of Cibolo, TX; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; sister, Ruth Johnson, of Elizabethton, TN; brother, James (Linda) Saling, of East Rochester and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Emma was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Lawrence Brown, brothers, Everett Saling, Junior Saling, Marion Saling, William Saling, Jack Saling, Clarence Saling, and sisters Edna Bigelow, Bertha Cox, Loretta Saling, and Lola Tuttle.
She worked at the Cronin China Company, for the Augusta Township Board of Elections, was a member of the Farm Bureau Council 2L for over fifty years, and a Sunday School and Bible School teacher for many years.
Funeral service will be held at Bartley Funeral Home, on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Chet Howes of Fatih Fellowship and Pastor Chet Miller of Victory Baptist Church officiating. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018 from 5 - 8 p.m. and Sunday, January 28, 2018 one hour prior to service at the Bartley Funeral Home. Burial will follow later in Ft. Steuben Burial Estates in Wintersville.
