Evelyn Marie Walter

Evelyn Marie Walter, 71, of Minerva, passed away, Wednesday, June 10, 2015 in her home following a courageous battle with leukemia.

Evelyn was born in Minerva, OH on September 16, 1943, a daughter of the late David and Phyllis (Walker) Hamilton.

She was a member of the Minerva Church of the Nazarene and worked in food services in the Minerva Local School District.

Evelyn is survived by her husband of 53 years, Carl Wayne Walter; two daughters, Lynnette (Michael) Gallina, of North Canton; Karla (Kraig) Miller, of Minerva; three sons Jeffrey (Patty) Walter, of Minerva; Michael (Carolyn) Walter, of Kensington; Phillip (Lynn) Walter, of Kensington; grandchildren Deanna (Jordan) Cranor, Jake (Taylor Zwick) Walter, Luke Walter, Kiel (Jessica) Gallina, Karee (Kenny Lawson) Walter, Kru (Tristin Solomon) Walter, Kyle (Sarah) Moore, Samantha (Brandon Morrow) Moore, Michael (Ashley) Baldwin, Samantha Bernel, Pace (Josie White) Walter, Lanae Walter, Brodie Walter, Josh (Kaily Gum) Derlich; great-grandchildren Talon Baldwin, Evelynn Baldwin, Adalynn and Lainey Ahrens, Xavier Gallina; three sisters, Joyce (Bill) Park, of Minerva; Pat Curry, of Minerva; Robin (Jeff) Hole, of Minerva; four brothers, David (Pat) Hamilton, of Douglas, GA; Jim (Gloria) Hamilton, of Minerva; William Hamilton, of Minerva; Darrell (Sonie) Hamilton, of Louisville.

She is preceded in death by sisters, Gloria Williams, Jody Hamilton, and brother John Hamilton.

Calling hours will be held Monday, 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. in the Bartley Funeral Home in Minerva and one hour before services in the Alliance Nazarene Church.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 16, 2015 in the Alliance Nazarene Church, 1345 S. Arch, Alliance with Pastor Glen Davidson and Pastor Tim Hawkins officiating. Burial will be in Moultrie Chapel Cemetery.
