Frances J. (Shotwell) Johnson, age 87, died Monday, November 10, 2014. Frances was born on December 6, 1926 to the late Jay and Martha (Long) Shotwell. She was a graduate of Carrollton High School in 1944. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Minerva where she was very active in many committees and taught Sunday School for many years. She was a member of the Sans Souci Club and also very active in the Minerva Community Outreach at St. Paul's in Minerva.
Frances is preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald, who died on January 1, 2014, and her brother Richard "Dick" Shotwell.
She is survived by two daughters, Marcia (Larry) Tarbet of McCormick, SC, Jan (Don) Burchett of Minerva; two sons Doug (Bonnie) Snively of Homeworth and Brad (Sidney) Snively of Dallas, TX. She had seven grandchildren, Stacie (James) Carson, Corie Tarbet, Deidre Snively, Cheri (Michael) Mondich, Nicholas (Danielle) Burchett, Caroline and Grace Snively and six great-grandchildren. Katie and Annaliese Carson, Emily and Hudson Mondich, Conner Shingleton and Maverick Burchett.
Calling hours will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 515 E. Line St., Minerva from 10 am to 1 pm, Monday, November 17, 2014. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm. Burial will be in East lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Minerva Community Outreach at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 515 E. Line St., Minerva, OH 44657.
