Harriet Lanigan Flugan, 95, of Malvern, passed away peacefully in her home, Friday, July 15th, 2011.
Harriet was born in Canton, Ohio, on May 14, 1916, the daughter of the late Raymond and Selma S (Metz ) Weber.
She was a graduate of Pawtucket High School in Pawtucket R. I. and worked as the manager of the House Numbering Department for the Stark County Engineer's Office. She was a member of the Malvern United Methodist Church, and had been a member of the Church of the Savior United Methodist Church in Canton before moving to Malvern.
Harriet is survived by three daughters, Susan Scott of Troy, Ohio, Beth (Gary) Pearce of Malvern, Cathy (Terry) Gerardot of North Canton; a son, John (Kathy) Lanigan of Coppell, TX; two step daughters, Cheryl (Garfield) Crisman of Newark., Sandy Ross of Newark; a step son, Bud (Connie) Flugan of Alliance; 18 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Trimbach of Malvern, and a brother, Ray (Norma) Weber of North Canton.
She is preceded in death by her husband Dale E Flugan and a brother Thomas Weber.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Malvern United Methodist Church, 121 Wood Street, Malvern at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 23rd, with Rev. Alan Hill officiating. Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery, Canton.
