Homer Russell Carman, 81, of Kensington, passed away Monday, August 3rd, 2015 in his home surrounded by family..

Homer was born in Augusta, Ohio on September 4, 1933, a son of the late Lewis and Olive (Russell) Carman.

He worked at Salem Pottery in Salem, and Cronin China in Minerva and retired after forty-four years from Guess Manufacturing in Mechanicstown.

He was a avid bird fancier and raised ornamental pheasants, a variety of peafowl, doves and pidgeons. For 21 years, Homer enjoyed traveling between his home in Port Orange in Florida and Kensington.

Homer is survived by his wife of 39 years, Joyce F (Alexander) Carman; a sister, Enamay Carman, of Canton; four daughters, Audrey (Russell) Coldsnow, of East Rochester, Louise (Mike) Webb, of Salem, Mindy Carman, of Salem, Diane (Ken) Hardy, of East Rochester; a son,Jerry Carman, of Augusta; a step daughter, Stephanie Allison, of Hanoverton; grandchildren Shawn Mesler, Levi Coldsnow, Lucas Coldsnow, Adam Coldsnow, Nathan Coldsnow, Annie (Webb) Manley, Cody Webb, Heather (Coldsnow) Anderson, Ken Hardy, Jr., Melody (Orr) McConnell, James Strait, Shannon Mathers; great-grandchildren Levi Coldsnow, Jr., Gabrielle Coldsnow, Riley Mesler, Hayden Mesler, Madeline Manley, Brooke Manley, Anna Webb, Ella Webb, Alexis Ziedrich, Trenton Anderson, Landon Anderson, Jovie Mathers, Austin Strait, Logan and Kelsie McConnell; and his feline companions, Mama Kitty and Breep.

A special thank you to Stephanie, Diane, Mindy and Shannon for giving their time and tenderness tio their loved one to make him comfortable in his last days.
