Ida Gertrude Woodruff
Ida Gertrude Woodruff, 91, of Malvern, passed away Saturday, October 27th, 2012 at her home following a long illness .
Ida was born in Malvern, OH on January 24, 1921, a daughter of the late Grace (Kost) and William Laubacher.
She was a loving mother and homemaker. Ida was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church where she was the organist for 64 years
Ida is survived by four daughters, Mary (Alden) Speirs of Hanoverton, Sue ( Fred) Luden of Cottage Grove, MN, Rose Cole, of Columbia, MO, Ann Winter, of Columbia, MO; two sons Kenneth Woodruff, of Malvern; Dale ( Pam) Woodruff of Morristown, TN; fourteen grandchildren, 18 great-children, 3 great-great grandchildren; and a brother, Lawrence Laubacher, of Canton.
She is preceded in death by her husband Paul Woodruff in 1984, sons Wayne and Harold, three sisters Lucille Daverio, Irene McDermott, Theresa Hostetler, three brothers Clarence, Paul and Raymond Laubacher
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Malvern, at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 1st, 2012 with Celebrant Fr. Vic Cinson. Calling hours will be Wednesday 2 - 4 & 5 - 6:30 p.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. A Christian wake service will be held at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.
