Jackie Lee Albrecht, Sr., 70, of Minerva, passed away Monday, February 8th, 2016 at Minerva Eldercare after a courageous battle with cancer.
Jackie was born in Massillon, Ohio on August 13, 1945, a son of the late Carl F and Christina (Hoffman) Albrecht.
He was a dairy farmer and truck driver. He was a driver education instructor for National Drivers Training. Jackie served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed the simpler things in life.
Jackie is survived by two daughters, Christine (Darrin) Ulman, of Mechanicstown;
Cheryl (David) Rohr, of Kensington; a son, Jackie (Shelley) Albrecht, Jr., of Mechanicstown; grandchildren, Brittany Lucille Rohr, Dalton, Devan, Dustin, Dylan Ulman; a sister, Rose McClead, of Beach City; and a brother, Roland (Agatha) Albrecht, of Massillon.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Eva L (Dickey) Albrecht, a granddaughter Brooke Haley Ulman, one brother, Junior Albrecht, and two sisters, Doris Poorman and Margie Hardesty.
Funeral services will be held at the Bartley Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 12th, 2016 with Rev. John Carpenter officiating. Burial will be in Augusta Cemetery.
