Obituary for James Palmer Fowkes

James Palmer Fowkes, age 72 of North Canton, formerly of Minerva passed away peacefully at St. Luke Lutheran Community on Wednesday, May 2, 2018. Jim was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on November 29, 1945 a son of the late James P. and Dorothy Virginia (Bruwelheide) Fowkes.

He worked for Colfor for 30 years, was a US Navy Veteran and a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Minerva.

Jim is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carol Ann Fowkes, of North Canton; son, Jerrod Michael (Jen) Fowkes, of North Canton; granddaughter, Alyssa Christine Fowkes, grandson, Austin James Fowkes, granddaughter, Mikayla Hadley Fowkes, granddaughter, Lexi Madison Fowkes, all of North Canton; goddaughters, Jill and Amy Borland of Minerva; brothers, Harry W. Fowkes, of Apollo, PA, and George H. Fowkes, of Apollo, PA.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 7, 2018 with Celebrant Fr. Victor Cinson. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, May 6, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at St. Gabriel Catholic Church. A Vigil Prayer Service will be held, Sunday, May 6 at 7:45 p.m. Following cremation, burial will be in Heritage Memorial Gardens.
