James William Jeffries, age 93 of Paris, passed away at Carroll Golden Age Retreat/County Home on Monday, August 29, 2022. James was born in Grafton, West Virginia on November 29, 1928 to Leonard Alvin and Charlotte Elizabeth (Klepfel) Jeffries.

James drove truck for Fry Brothers Coal. He also farmed. He enjoyed playing the guitar and singing.

James is survived by three daughters: Crystal (Bob) Bowman of Mechanicstown, Melody (Don) Weaver of North Industry, and Lora (Odell) Brown of Hartville; a son, James Thomas Jeffries of Mechanicstown; eight grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jeffries; four sisters; and one brother.

Graveside service will be held at Heritage Memorial Gardens, 16727 Bayard Road, Minerva, Ohio, on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at 1:00 PM.
