Jerome C Metzger

Jerome C. Metzger, 84 peacefully went home to be with the Lord September 1, 2019. Jerry was born October 18, 1934 in Bedford Ohio to George & Grace (Hall) Metzger. He was the last of 5 children.

Jerry graduated from Carrollton High School in 1952. He enjoyed a full-time career at Air-maze Filtration where he worked for 40 years. He enjoyed many activities of life such as bowling, fishing, golfing, and staying active within his church. During retirement, Jerry made a business for himself in his workshop making many different wood crafts.

Jerry was married in 1955 to his wife Rosemarie (Chad) Metzger. They were blessed with 3 children who they raised in Twinsburg.

Jerry is survived by his daughter, Dawn Marie (Jared) Miller; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and a son-in-law, Samuel Foley.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemarie; a son, Ronald Lee; a daughter, Jody Marie Foley; two brothers: Donald and Ralph; and two sisters: Mary Hoyt and Nancy Borland.

Jerry will be missed by family and friends

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2019, at the Deckman-Bartley Funeral Home, 434 West Main Street, Malvern, Ohio, at 6:30 PM with Pastor Frank Zugaro and Pastor Samuel Foley, officiating. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2019, at Deckman-Bartley Funeral Home from 5 to 6:30 PM.
