John Charles Crawford
John Charles Crawford, 86, of Minerva, passed away, Monday, April 11th, 2011 at Aultman Hospital, following a long illness.
John was born in Minerva, OH on March 15, 1925, the son of the late Frank and Florence (Thompson) Crawford.
He served in the U.S. Army during WW II and retired from the Ford Motor Company after 34 years. John was a member of the Minerva Eagles, VFW Post 4122, served on Minerva Village Council and was an avid golfer and poker player.
John is survived by a daughter, Judy Browne of Paris; two sons Gary Lee (Rebecca) Crawford of Orlando, FL, Tim (Sherrie) Crawford of Albuquerque, NM; fourteen grandchildren one great-grandchild; and a sister, Patricia Mingus of Canton.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jane (McCullough) Crawford, son Danny Crawford, and grandson Todd Wicks.
At his request there will be no services. Following cremation, burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery.
