Jon Edward Rose, 65, of Minerva, passed away, in his home, Sunday, February 23rd, 2014.
Jon was born in Dennison, OH on May 8, 1948, a son of the late Paul Junior and Lois (Barcus) Rose.
Jon retired from Republic Waste after 36 years. He also worked at Walters Oil and Gas for 25 years. He was a member of the Teamsters. He was an avid golfer and a member of Great Trail Golf Course.
Jon is survived by his wife, Diana (Leggett) Rose; a son, Craig and LeighAnn Rose, of Minerva; two daughters, Tracy and Scott Burd, of Beloit, Kristin and Neven Deist, of Minerva, four grandchildren, Blakelyn, Caden, Jon II, and Zachary; a brother, Ronald and Jean Rose, of Canton; two sisters, Cindy and Gene Grindstaff, of Carrollton, Carol Bugh, of Louisville.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son Jon Paul Rose, brother Mike "Toad" Rose, sister Kate Truex
Funeral Services will be held at the Bartley Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 27th, 2014 with Pastor John Ryser officiating. Calling hours will be held Wednesday 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. at the Bartley Funeral Home. Burial will be in Heritage Memorial Gardens.
