Joyce Ann Smalley, age 65 of Minerva, passed away at McKinley Life Care on Thursday, June 25, 2020. Joyce was born in Bluefield West Virginia on August 18, 1954 to late Bradley and Ruby (Thomason) Childers.

Joyce was a graduate of Minerva High School.

Joyce is survived by 2 sons: Shaun (fiancé Virginia) Shasten and Rodney Hudson; 3 sisters: Judy (Jim) Emmons of Alliance, Wanda (Jack) Bryan of Robertsville, and Ruth (Tim) Adams of MInerva; 2 brothers: Bradley (Honchie Demarco) Childers of Minerva and John (Monique) Childers of Monrovia CA; grandson, Zachery Shasteen whom she helped to raise; 4 additional grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her companion, Steve McGrath of Minerva.

Following cremation, a private graveside service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help defray expenses.
