Karen R Ellenberger, 75, of Minerva, passed away Wednesday, November 22nd, 2017 in Aultman Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Karen was born in Carmichaels, PA on September 3, 1942, a daughter of the late Raymond and Thelma (Maple) Rush.
She was a secretary at Salem City Schools for 31 years and attended Faith Fellowship in East Rochester. She enjoyed cooking, baking and doing puzzles. Her life revolved around her family, and she cherished her granddaughter and great-grandson.
Karen is survived by her husband of 54 years, Carl Ellenberger; a daughter, Sherrie Denton, of Salem; a son,Troy Ellenberger, of Chicago, IL; a granddaughter Payton Ellenberger, great-grandson Teegan Fisher; and a sister, Sandy (Bunky) Mahle, of Morgantown, WV.
A memorial service will be held at the Bartley Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 28th, 2017 with Pastor Chet Howes officiating. Inurnment will be in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.
