Kathryn  Mullins

Kathryn Mullins, 83, of Palmyra, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, December 4th, 2016.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and devoted friend to all who knew her.

Kathryn was born in Ravenswood, WV on February 4, 1933, a daughter of the late Jesse Marie (Black) and Raymond Sands.

She was a member of Miles Park United Methodist Church in Cleveland.  She worked as a Cafeteria Worker at Miles Park Elementary in Cleveland.  She spent most of her years in Palmyra, Ohio where she enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  Children were always welcome in her home and she became known as "grandma" or "Aunt Kathryn" to every child she encountered.

Kathryn had a very giving heart and would help anyone in need.  She truly was a precious angel and she will be deeply missed.

Kathryn is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Carl  Mullins, two sons Edward (Jo) Mullins, of Jacksonville, FL; Gary Mullins, of Wadsworth, OH; a daughter, Debbie (David) Johnson, of East Canton; grandchildren MacKenna Mullins, Tracy (Nathan) Sphon, Jennifer (Billy) Bloom, Daniel, Ethan and Erich Mullins, and great-granddaughter Meredith Sphon.

Kathryn is preceded in death by brothers Doug, Louis, Lester, Bud, and Joe.

Calling hours will be Friday, December 9th 2016, from 10 a. m. until 12:00 p.m. at the Deckman-Bartley Funeral Home, 434 W. Main St., Malvern, Ohio.

There will be graveside service in Bethlehem Cemetery in Malvern, immediately following calling hours.
