Lillian Belle (Brooks) Stephens, 80, of Minerva, passed away, Saturday, June 28th, 2014 at Minerva Eldercare.
Lillian was born in Oak Hill, WV on April 18, 1934, a daughter of the late Roy and Goldie (Taylor) Brooks.
As well as being a homemaker, she was a housekeeper for many of the school teachers in the area. At home, she loved to garden.
She was a 1954 graduate of Minerva High School and a member of Great Trail Community Church of God for over 60 years.
Lillian is survived by a daughter, Susan Stephens, of Kensington; a son, Ed (Patricia) Stephens, of Miami, FL; seven grandchildren, Anissa (Mark) Lombardozzi, Joshua Golding, Shaila Shuman, Carlos Stephens, Carly Stephens, Carolyn Stephens, Laura Jurkiewicz; two step-grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Stephens who died in 1997, daughter Kay Karen Stephens who died in 1964, sisters Vivian Scarbro, Virginia Shearer, Pauline Cobuluis, Betty Foster, and brothers Homer, Leroy, Robert and Buster Brooks
Funeral Services will be held at Great Trail Community Church of God, 16561 Liberty Church St. SE, Minerva, OH, at 1:30 pm on Saturday, July 5th, 2014 with Pastor Stanley Hunter officiating. Calling hours will be held Saturday, July 5, 2014 11:00 am - 1:00 pm. at the Bartley Funeral Home, Minerva. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery.
