Lois V. Whittington
Lois V. Whittington, 94, Malvern. passed away, Sunday, September 16th, 2012 at Mercy Medical Center, following a long illness.
Lois was born in Oakfield, Ohio on October 18, 1917, the daughter of the late Howard and Sarah Fortney.
She was a member of St. Martin Lutheran Church and had worked as a bank teller and accountant.
Lois is survived by two sons Ronald Whittington of Florida and Dennis Whittington of Leesville Lake four grandchildren and one step great-grandchild.
Lois is preceded in death by her husband Carl Whittington. four sisters, Loretta King, Vira Ackelson, Lorrain McClintock, Rosalie Weaver; two brothers, Carl Fortney and George Fortney.
Funeral Services will be held at the St. Martin Lutheran Church, 301 W. Main St., Malvern at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 20th, with Rev. A. Wallace Anderson officiating. Calling hours will be held one hour before the service at the church. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery.
