Lottie Jeannette (Bissett) Cather, 91, of Mesa, Arizona, formerly of Westminster, Maryland, died in Spingdale Village Health Care Center, Mesa, following complications from a fractured hip.
Born in Barger Ridge, Pennsylvania, on April 13, 1909, Lottie was the daughter of the late John William and Florence Lee (Auten) Bissett.
She was a homemaker, a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, and a member of the Westminster Methodist Church.
Lottie is survived by her daughter Valetta Kay of Gilbert, Arizona; son Gene Burdett of Old Saybrook, Connecticut; brother Fred L. Bissett of Aurora, Colorado; sisters Lillian C. Catlett of East Rochester, Ohio, Rachael M. Krause of East Brady, Pennsylvania; five grandchildren, Jeannette Goldston, Sean, Shane, Shannon and Charles Cather; and two great grandchildren Haunani and Maile Goldston.
She is preceded in death by her husband Charles Wetzel Cather, who died in 1965, brother Arthur, Chester, David, John, Leo, Thomas, And Woodrow; sisters Fannie and Gertrude.
Calling hours are scheduled for Wednesday, March 21, 2001, 6-8 p.m., at Bartley Funeral Home, 205 West Lincoln Way, Minerva, Ohio. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, 8 p.m., at the funeral home, officiated by the Rev. John Clark. Burial will be on Friday, March 23, 10 a.m., at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg, Maryland.
