February 11, 1941 – April 23, 2025
Lynn Anne Thoman , age 84 of Minerva, passed away at The Village of St. Edwards in Fairlawn on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. Lynn was born in Alliance, Ohio on February 11, 1941 to John Jacob and Ruth Pauline (Hanke) Scott.
She was a dedicated school bus driver of nearly 40 years for Minerva Local Schools, where she found great joy and fulfillment in her daily interactions with the children and often taught many how to whistle as she loved music of all kinds, the louder the better! Her love for animals was a defining aspect of her character. Lynn had a special affection for dogs and embraced all critters, big and small, with kindness and care. One of her most unique pets was a crow that she nurtured back to health after it was injured, affectionately named "Caw-caw".
Lynn is survived by a son, Barry (Heather) Thoman II of Fairlawn; and grandchildren: Jake, Evie, Ben, and Peter. She is also survived by her two sisters-in-law, Georgene Scott and Donna Scott.
In addition to her parents, Lynn was preceded in death by her brothers: Larry (her twin) and John; a sister, Joan Mercer; and a brother-in-law, Richard Mercer.
