Obituary
Lynn Dale Wood, 66, of Mechanicstown, passed away Sunday, November 2nd, 2014 at his home following a battle with cancer.
Lynn was born in Steubenville, Ohio on July 14, 1948, a son of the late Dalton and Kathryn (Grim) Wood.
He retired from Carrolton Exempted Village Schools in 2010.
Lynn is survived by his wife, Audrey Ruth (Long) Wood whom he married, October 10, 1970; a son, Heath Lynn (Star) Wood, of Mechanicstown; two sisters, Mrs. Alberta (Wanedith) Fray of Perrysville, Mrs. Steven (Brenda) Young of Perrysville; three brothers, Walter (Sonny) Wood of Bergholtz, Dalton Wood, Jr. of Mansfield, Greg (Patty) Wood of Bergholtz; two grandchildren Allan and Jessie Wood; two step-grandchildren Austin and Anakin Toothman and one great-granddaughter Zoee Wood.
He is preceded in death by brothers Richard and Burt Wood.
Private graveside services will be held at Herrington-Bethel Church Cemetery with Rev. Lee Iden officiating.
