Marilyn Jean Carter, 70, of Minerva passed away, Tuesday, May 8th, 2012 at Alliance Community Hospital following a long illness.
Marilyn was born in Louisville, KY on September 16, 1941, the daughter of the late Robert Earl and Mary M. (Holland) Oyler.
She was a member of Nazerene Church and the Minerva Eagles.
Marilyn is survived by her husband Virgil Paul Carter; two sons Charles B. (Charlotte) DeBolt of Barnesville; Danny R. DeBolt of Barnesville; five step-daughters, Beverly Jones of Barberton, Rita (Donald) Shepherd of Jacksonville, Florida., Deborah (Greg) Milliken of Waxaw, North Carolina., Lou-Anne (Joe) Ware of Akron, Carole (Rubin) DeLaRosa of Wooster; three step-sons Stephen (Brenda) Copeland of Wadsworth, David Carter of Barberton, John (Gina) Carter of Barberton; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a brother, Jimmy W. Oyler of Ft. Myers, Florida.
She is preceded in death her first husband Louis O'Connell and step-granddaughter Allison Carter.
Funeral Services will be held in the Bartley Funeral Home, at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 11th, 2012 with Pastor Tim Hawkins officiating. Calling hours will be held Friday 11 a. m. - 1 p. m. in the Bartley Funeral Home. Burial will be in Heritage Memorial Gardens.
