Obituary

Marjory Jean Burleson, 88, of Alliance, formerly of Minerva, passed away Thursday, June 11th, 2015, at Alliance Community Hospital.

Marjory was born in Hopewell, VA, on April 22, 1927, a daughter of the late Guy and Opal (Durnberger) Hannen.

She was a member of First Christian Church of Minerva.

She held many positions throughout her life, one of the last was as cook at Edgewater Golf Course.

She and her husband, Bill, founded the Burliques Square Dancing Club,

Jean is survived by a daughter, Dottie Bechtel of Alliance, twelve grandchildren Jill Winter, Melinda Barthelow, Laura Lee, Melanie Horn, Josiah, Daniel and Shiloh Bechtel, Jason and Samantha Burleson, Harvey, Jr., Dale and Kenny Barnes, and seventeen great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Bill, two sons William Lee and Randy Allen Burleson, daughter Peggy Sue Barnes, brother Carl Hannen, and sister Dorothy Harvey.

Funeral services will be held in the Great Trail Community Church of God, Minerva, at 3:00 pm on Sunday, June 14th, 2015, with Pastor Stanley Hunter officiating. Calling hours will be held Sunday 1 - 3 pm. at Great Trail Community Church of God. Burial will be at 11:00 am, Monday in Heritage Memorial Gardens.
