Martin Reed Griffin
Martin Reed Griffin, 67, of Malvern, passed away, Friday, June 7th, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center, following a brief illness.
Martin was born in Meadville, PA, on January 24, 1946, a son of the late Alice (Courtney) and Woodrow W Griffin.
He was a member of First Christian Church of Minerva and had worked as a machine operator at Timken's.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era and was active in the Sharon Lane Memorial
Vietnam Veterans Association, Chapter 199 in Canton.
Martin is survived by his wife, Brenda Joyce Griffin; five daughters, Rebecca Tetlow, of Wadsworth; Michelle Lamb, of Jasper, FL; Laura Holden, of Perry, FL; Jackie Lewis, of Morven, GA; Brittany Adkins, of Alliance, OH; two sons Lonny Griffin, of Point Ft. Smith, Arkansas; Ben Griffin, of Canton; thirteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; a sister, Lenora Doreen Campbell, of Minerva; two brothers, Everett Duane Griffin, of Carrollton; Gerald Griffin, of St. Clairsville.
He is preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Graveside services will be held at Highland Memorial Park at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11th, 2013 with Mr. Dale Roberts and Mr. Ralph Norman officiating. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park.
