Obituary
Mary E. Gurney, 99, of Minerva, passed away Monday, October 9th, 2017 in her home.
Mary was born in Mechanicstown, Ohio on September 21, 1918, a daughter of the late John N. and Theona (Hossack) Barnett.
She was a member of Frist Christian Church of Alliance for 51 years, and worked as a cashier at Sparkle Market and Perskeys for 30 years.
Mary was a charter member of Eagles Arie 2176, a member of Women of the Moose, and Women's Benefit Association 384.
She is survived by three grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren, 1 great-great-great grandchild, and two special friends Pat and Gloria.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Eugene B. Gurney, daughter Carolyn Willis, son, Marvin "Butch" Sutcliffe, two grandchildren, Bruce Willis and Cheryl (Willis) Zwick, 5 brothers and 5 sisters.
Her wishes were to be cremated. There are no services.
