Mary Lee Lawther-Rumburg

Mary Lee "Maralee" Lawther-Rumburg, 86, of Minerva, passed away Wednesday, February 20th, at Union Hospital, Dover.

Maralee was born in Sandusky, Ohio on January 14, 1927, a daughter of the late Donna B. (Grady) and Robert H. Meyer. She was a graduate of Kent Roosevelt High School and attended Kent State University for two years.

Maralee was a member of the Minerva United Methodist Church, Bridge Club, and Sans Souci. She retired in 1994 from the Minerva Public Library where she had been a Library Assistant for 13 years.

Mary is survived by a daughter, Shelly L. (Tim) Walter, of Dover; two sons Larry S. (Lee) Lawther, of Houma, LA; Gregory B. Lawther, of Frankfort, KY; grandchildren Shonna Fracchione of Uhrichsville, Marisa Hopkins of Bolivar, Daniel Holdsworth of Canton, great-grandchildren Jersi and Gionna Fracchione, and Grant Hopkins.

She is preceded in death by her first husband Donald B. Lawther who died in 1983 and also by her second husband W. Lacy Rumburg who died in 1998 and a sister Bettye George.

A memorial service will be held in the Minerva United Methodist Church, at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 23rd, 2013 with Rev. Allan Hill officiating. Burial will be in Beechwood Cemetery, Alliance.
