Mary Josephine Woodward, 85, of Carrollton, passed away, Monday, July 20th, 2015 in Carroll Health Care Center.
Mary was born on May 15, 1930 at the family farm in Augusta Township, Carroll County, a daughter of the late Taylor C. and Emma (Paisley) Woodward.
She was a member of Stillfork (Augusta) Presbyterian Church, where she had served as pianist and Sunday School Treasurer.
Mary Jo had been a member of the former Stillfork Grange #1370 and was a 1948 graduate of Augusta High School.
She had been employed at Carrollton Mfg. Co. and the Free Press Standard.
Mary is survived by nieces Beverly Eisel, Annette Brunney, Barbara (David) Wollenberg, Susan Woodward and Paula Woodward, and nephew Rodney Charlton. She is also survived by two special cousins Carol (Fred) Boggs and Ruth (Robert) Morgan.
She is preceded in death by brothers John and Austin Woodward, sister-in-law Ethel (Hughes) Woodward, niece Sara Charlton, nephew Raymond Woodward and an infant niece.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 23, 2015 at 11 am at the Bartley Funeral Home with Rev. Virginia Birks officiating. Burial will follow in Augusta Cemetery. Calling hours will be one hour before services.
