Mary Joanne Yeagley, age 72 of Minerva, passed away at Altercare of Alliance on Friday, December 27, 2024. Mary was born in Canton, Ohio on October 25, 1952 to Roger A and Garnet P (Myers) Yeagley.

For over 45 years, she devoted her life to nursing, providing care and comfort to countless individuals. Her gentle spirit and nurturing nature were evident not only in her professional life but also in her personal interests.

Mary had a profound love for farming, finding joy and solace in the quiet rhythms of the land. Her deep connection with animals was a testament to her kind heart, as she surrounded herself with creatures great and small, each receiving her tender care and affection.

Her commitment to helping people extended beyond her career, as she often went out of her way to offer assistance and support to those in need. Her generosity and empathy touched all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Mary is survived by three daughters: Katilynne Fankhauser of Minerva, Alexis Van Dyne of Paris, and Patricia Fankhauser of Carrollton; a son: Melvin Fankhauser Sr of Minerva; and three grandsons: Melvin Jr, Caleb, and Rocky.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by a brother, James Yeagley.

Per her wishes, there will be no services.

Mary leaves behind a legacy defined by her unwavering compassion and dedication to the well-being of others as she touched them with her warmth and kindness.
