Paul Robert "Ike" Miller Sr., 79, of Minerva, passed away, Friday, January 22nd, 2016, in his home surrounded by family.

Paul was born in Batavia, NY, on September 18, 1936, a son of the late Michael F and Mary K. (Felt) Miller..

He worked as a furnace loader at Canton Drop Forge for 27 years. He served in the U. S. Army.

He was a member of the Malvern Fire Department for twelve years advancing to the rank of Captain.

Paul is survived by his wife of 55 years, Norma Miller; a daughter, Lisa J Miller, of Minerva; a son, Paul R (Kimberly) Miller, Jr., of Minerva; granddaughter Julia Miller, special grandchildren Heather and Josh Casper; three brothers, Michael (Le Ann) Miller, of Leroy, NY. Richard (Debbie) Miller, of Leroy, NY; Donald (Shonnie) Miller, of Batavia.

He is preceded in death by a son Raymond M. Miller; brothers Francis, David & Charles Miller; and sister Barbara Petherbridge;

Funeral services will be held in the Bartley Funeral Home, Minerva at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 28th, 2016 with Rev. A. Wallace Anderson officiating. Calling hours will be held Thursday 4 - 6 p.m. at funeral home. Following cremation, burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery. The family requests no flowers, however, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
