Obituary

Richard LeBeau Baxter, 80, of Minerva, passed away Sunday, April 29th, 2012 surrounded by his family at Mercy Medical Center.

Richard was born in Bayard, OH on May 3, 1931, the son of the late William C and Myrna B (Lebeau) Baxter.

He was a 1949 graduate of Minerva High School and a member of the First Christian Church of Minerva.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of VFW Post 4120, and a Life Member of American Legion Post 357.

Richard is survived by his wife Shelby J. (Hawkins) Baxter; a daughter, Robin S Bonsky of Columbus; two sons Craig (Colleen) Baxter of North Canton., Ryan (Tessa) Baxter of Denver, CO.

"Poppy" is also survived by three grandchildren Madison Bonsky, Gabrielle Baxter, Annabelle Baxter

He is preceded in death by his parents, first wife Janet Baxter, son Brett Baxter, brothers Harold and Donald Baxter, sister Wilma Eubank

Funeral Services will be held at the Bartley Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 2nd, 2012 with Mr. Ralph Norman and Mr. Dale Roberts officiating. Friends are invited to call Wednesday , one hour before services. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery.
