Robert Elson Biggins, 83, of Minerva, OH, passed away, Wednesday, April 16th, 2014 in Aultman Hospital, following a long illness.
Robert was born in Canton, OH on November 13, 1930, a son of the late Revel Elson and Pauline H (Biggins) Pore.
He was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church
Bob served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and later worked as a draftsman at Goodyear.
He was a member of the Minerva Eagles, the Rotary Club of Minerva, VFW and was an avid bowler.
Bob is survived his wife, Marlene A Biggins; three daughters, Shari A. Biggins, of Charleston, SC; Sandra M. (Thomas) Burns, of Suwanne, GA; Debora J. (Meg Milko) Biggins, of Kent; a granddaughter, Rachael Burns; a half-sister, Linda Moore, of Canton; two half-brothers, Gerald (Peggy) Pore, of Augusta; and John Pore, of Canton; niece Kerri Pore and other nieces.
He is preceded in death by brothers Edwin and Charles
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, Minerva, at 11:00 am on Monday, April 21st, 2014 with Celebrant Fr. Victor Cinson.
Calling hours will be held Friday, April 18, 2014 from 7 - 9 p.m. at the Bartley Funeral Home. Calling hours will be Monday one hour before mass at St. Gabriel Catholic Church. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery.
