Robert "Bob" Lee Christen, age 90, of Minerva, passed away of pancreatic cancer at Justin T Rogers Hospice Care Center on Monday, October 18, 2021. Robert was born in Alliance, Ohio on January 11, 1931 to Mervin Henry and Florence Gertrude (Cobbs) Christen.

Bob was a graduate from the class of 1949 at Alliance High School. He worked 32 years for General Color and Chemical Company of Minerva as the manager of the Plastic Division. He enjoyed camping and spending the winters in Florida. He took part in Barbershop music, choir, doing solos, and singing at church here and in Florida. Growing up on the farm, he enjoyed planting time of the fields, gardening, and flowers.

Bob is survived by his wife of 65 years, Marilyn (Oyster) Christen of Minerva; and two sons: Mark of Minerva and David (LeeAnn) of East Freedom PA.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his son, Scott; and two sisters: Betty June Ring and Lois Jean Sheehan Tasker.

Funeral services will be held at Faith Fellowship, 24604 State Route 30, East Rochester, Ohio, on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at 11:00 AM with Pastor Chet Howes of Faith Fellowship officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 22, 2021, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Faith Fellowship.
