Robert Herman Nehus, 78, of Minerva, passed away, Thursday, July 7th, 2011 at his home.
Bob was born in Pittsburgh, PA on July 13, 1932, the son of the late Bernard A. Nehus and Helen C. (Koenig) Nehus Bodura.
He worked as an engineer at TRW and PCC Airfoils for 34 years retiring in 1995.
He has been a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church since 1961, was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and served on the Minerva Community Meals Board. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
Bob was an avid photographer and woodturner. He was a member of Buckeye Wood Turners.
Robert is survived by his wife of 53 years Marilyn Frances (Miller) Nehus; four daughters, Mary F. (Duane) Dierschow of State Center, Iowa, Jeanne M. (Joseph) Ward of Augusta, Patricia A. (Bruce) Ohler of Mechanicstown, Kathleen L. (Gregory) Draper of Minerva, OH, a son, Robert B. Nehus and fiancé Cathy Barnhart of Malvern, OH; five grandchildren Carly Ferguson, Olivia Dierschow, Wesley Dierschow, Amanda Louive, Brian Ohler; a sister, Helen B. Nehus of Pittsburg, a brother, Bernard J. Nehus of Pittsburgh, PA; and a step-brother Michael (Grace) Bodura of Bethel Park, PA.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 11th, Celebrant Fr. Victor Cinson. Calling hours will be held Sunday 6 - 8 p. m. at St. Gabriel Catholic Church. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery.
