Robert J. "Pete" Patterson, 62, of Minerva, died, Tuesday, July 15th 2014, in Ashford, Alabama, from injuries sustained in a car pedestrian accident.
Pete was born in Alliance, OH on May 10, 1952, a son of the late Egbert M and Rosemarie (Tuscano) Patterson, Jr.
He was a free spirit who over the last several decades traveled the United States bartering to make a living. He was a nomad who loved this land and its people and enjoyed the hospitality of Americans eager to share a meal, conversation and a place to camp for the night.
Pete is survived by three sisters, Susan Patterson, of Minerva; Betsy Patterson, of Minerva; Patty (Brian) Young, of East Rochester; six brothers, Michael Patterson, of Carrollton; Daniel (Sherry) Patterson, of Alliance; Mark (JoAnn) Patterson, of Canton; Timothy (Paula) Patterson, of Carrollton; Thomas (Lisa) Patterson, of Dellroy; John "Willy" Patterson of Alliance; and several nieces and nephews, He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother David Patterson, a niece Kelly Ann Patterson, a nephew Derek Partterson.
Following cremation in Alabama, a Memorial Service will be held at the Bartley Funeral Home at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, July 30th, 2014 with Pastor Chet Howes officiating. Calling hours will be 12 - 1 pm at the funeral home.
