Obituary

Ruby Lucille Miller, age 87, of Alliance, passed away peacefully at St. Luke's Lutheran Community in North Canton on Wednesday, February 12, 2025.  Ruby was born of the Amish Faith in Millersburg, Ohio on March 25, 1937 to Emma (Miller) Taylor.

Throughout her life, Ruby dedicated herself to the care of others through her work in babysitting, providing a nurturing environment for many children over the years. Her gentle spirit and kind heart touched all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Ruby found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a profound love for flowers, often spending her days tending to her garden, which was always in full bloom. She also enjoyed feeding the birds in her backyard and fishing where she found peace and solace by the water's edge. An avid sports fan, she could often be found cheering on her favorite teams with great enthusiasm. Her love for reading transported her to faraway worlds within the pages of countless books.

Ruby was a devoted member of the Canton Baptist Temple, where she worshipped faithfully for many years, finding strength and community within its walls.

Above all, Ruby cherished time spent with family and friends, always treasuring the laughter and stories shared in their company. Her warmth and generosity left an indelible mark on those she held dear.  Ruby is survived by a son, Timothy (Carol) Miller of South Royalton VT; three daughters, Dena Moore (the late Paul "Joe" Moore) of Alliance, Cynthia (Robert) Carpenter of Tucson AZ, and Kristine (Walter) Paris of Limaville; nine grandchildren: Arthur Chertier, Joseph Levi (Devin) Moore, Courtney (Joseph) Legros, Chelsea (Marc) Fagan, Jordan (Kathryn) Carpenter, Erin Carpenter, Nicholas Paris, Adam Paris, and Christian Paris; seven great-grandchildren: Riley Mullet, Jacob Moore, Colton Legros, Jase Legros, Brynnlee Fagan, Lillianna Grace Legros, and Warren Fagan; and her companion Kitty Bella.

In addition to her mother, Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Levi Miller; and two brothers:  Richard Dale Taylor and Howard Taylor.

Funeral service will be held at the Canton Baptist Temple, 515 Whipple Avenue NW, Canton on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at 11:00 am with Rev Jake Tovissi of Canton Baptist Temple officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery (Louisville). Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7 PM, and one hour prior to the service at the Canton Baptist Temple.
