Ruth Eileen Kardos, age 93 of Minerva, passed away at her residence on Monday, November 28, 2022. Ruth was born in Akron, Ohio on October 23, 1929 to Guy and Thelma Marie (Wingerter) Unger.

Ruth was a warm and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend who loved to cook and bake.  She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Robert Kardos who passed away October 11, 2022.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharon (John) Pearce of Minerva; son, Jeffrey (Nalana) Kardos of Akron; sister, Barbara Hutchinson of Norton; two grandsons: Neil (Miranda) Pearce of Minerva and Aaron (Gemariah) Pearce of Massillon; and great-grandchildren, Jaden and Juliauna of Minerva, and Gideon, Esther, and Abel of Massillon.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was also preceded in death by her brothers, Paul Heisel, and Robert, Donald, Wayne, and Richard Unger; and her sisters, Muriel Wingerter and Anna Mae Hamilton.

Memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 3713 Paris Avenue, Minerva, Ohio, at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 10, 2022.  Burial will be in Hillside Memorial Park.
