Shirley Ann Bonar, 82, of Minerva, passed away Thursday, July 6th, 2017 peacefully, at the Compassionate Care Center in Canton.

Shirley was born in Canton, OH on July 15, 1934, a daughter of the late Andrew Carl and Marcella Anna (Martin) Chappie.

She was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Minerva, the Bee Club and the National Arbor Society.

Shirley is survived by two daughters, Victoria Lynn Jarrell, of San Antonio, TX;
Rhonda D. (John) Miller, of Magnolia; daughter-in-law Diane R. Bonar, grandchildren Robert A. (Crystal) Bonar, Lindsey R. Bonar, Airman Jeffrey Dale Miller, ShirlAnn L. Miller, GraceLynn A. Miller, Christopher G. Jerrell and Jeffrey D. Jerrell; great-grandchildren Holli Bonar, Daniel Canter, Skye Canter, Oceana Boucher, Devin Sherman, and a brother, Carl D. (Patricia) Chappie, of Louisville.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Dale Bonar in 2011, a son Donald C. Bonar, and grandchildren Freddie Shaffer and Steven Vaitsis.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 10th, 2017 with Celebrant Fr. Victor Cinson. The family will receive friends, Monday 10 - 11 a.m. at the church.
